As I am getting ready for a new year with old problems, I am going through things and trying to get organized with my stuff and thoughts. I really believe that God created the holidays so that we would stop and take some time to reorganize our stuff from time to time. (Just kidding but that is when I usually do that) As we were going through some pictures a few days ago getting ready for a talk at Sunday School, I found a photo of my wife Theresa cruising down the road on a motorcycle. Now that is not unusual as we ride whenever we get a chance. Two things were unusal about this though. First, I wasn’t with her on the bike and she was driving the bike. Theresa had told me for a long time that she knew how to ride a motorcycle, I just hadn’t seen her do it. She claims to have learned this when she was lots younger. The second thing unusal about this is that she was riding down a road in Honduras. Yeah, the country Honduras.
Theresa first went to Honduras in October 2006. There were I think 10 women mostly from her Sunday School class that went on a mission trip. While there, they learned about Pastor Juan who had to travel several miles between villages making his rounds to minister to the folks who lived there. They decided to raise the money to buy him a motorcycle to help him get around quicker and easier. After coming back home, they started raising funds and in January 2007, Theresa and three others were able to return to Honduras and with the help of Pastor Armando, they purchased a brand new motorcycle and delivered it to Pastor Juan. Pastor Armando helped by taking them to the motorcycle dealer there and then using his truck to haul the bike over to Pastor Juan. It’s pretty amazing that a small number of women could go to another country, see a need and then come home and in three months, go back and meet that need. God is awesome when he works on a problem and provides the solutions. Hope you enjoy the photos.

The bike is loaded into Pastor Armando's pickup ready for delivery!

Here they present the bike to Pastor Juan.
